Christine Capeless Vaughan
Christine relocated to Denver to become a part of Breakthrough Kent Denver. Christine received a B.A. in History from Hamilton College. Prior to her work at Breakthrough, Christine served as the Associate Director of Admission from 2002-2004 and transitioned into the Director of Student Programs from 2004-2006 at Wyoming Seminary School in Kingston, PA. She has a broad knowledge of non-profit work, teacher preparation, and curriculum enhancement, along with a passion for education and working with students.

Oscar Gonzalez
Oscar is a 2004 Kent Denver School graduate and has been involved with Breakthrough for 8 years. Oscar graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in English in 2008. He worked as a teacher at Breakthrough for five summers during his high school and college years. He has a passion for public education, being a product of Rishel Middle School, Denver Public Schools.

Jaclyn Schaffner
Jaclyn has been involved with Breakthrough Kent Denver since May of 2009. Jaclyn graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Studies from King’s College and recently finished a Masters Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Colorado. Jaclyn has a passion for non-profit work, and began her career at the Nature Conservancy Worldwide Office in the Gift Planning Department.

Kyle Bobrick
Kyle recently returned to Denver from Japan to join Breakthrough’s administrative team. Kyle graduated with a B.A. in Film Studies from the University of Colorado. He has extensive experience in education, as he worked as a substitute teacher within Denver Public Schools, taught at Breakthrough for four consecutive summers, and was employed as a Cultural Exchange Teacher for three years in Japan.
